Daily deal - Nintendo DS Lite - Pink ribbon edition for $99.95

My daily deal for today is for the Nintendo DS Lite (Limited Edition Pink Ribbon edition). This portable gaming console usually retails for $129, but if you select the limited edition version at Amazon.com, you can pick one up for just $99.95.

I've carried a Nintendo DS Lite for for quite some time when I travel, and it is the perfect way to kill a couple of hours in the air (or on the ground if you are unlucky). I've always found that the battery life of the DS Lite is more than enough for several hours of non stop gaming, and the standard headphone jack means you can plug in your (noise canceling) headphones and play in peace and quiet.

Of course, the unit does not come with any games, so expect to invest some more to pick up games. When you click the link to Amazon, be sure to select the "Limited Edition Pink Ribbon" version, or you will not see the low price.

In this product review I'll be giving you a brief look at the new 3M mobile privacy film.

3M has been making privacy filters for laptops for several years and the recent surge in popularity of smartphones has increased the need for privacy when you use your device in public.

The 3M mobile privacy film attaches to your screen, and is held in place with a special removable adhesive. Like the laptop version of the privacy film, you can only view what is on your screen when you look straight at it. Anyone looking at your device from an angle, won't see a thing.

In the market for an iPod? Then my daily deal for today might be the best way to prevent having to stand in line at your local superstore.

This 16GB iPod Touch is the "previous generation", but with the exception of a few minor cosmetic changes, not much was updated between this one and the new one.

The current generation 16GB iPod touch still retails for $278, but you can pick up this first generation version for a mere $199!

Welcome to Milwaukee airport, you are now free to recombobulate!

Who said the airport checkpoint was a bad place to hang out? Milwaukee's General Mitchell Airport has turned the area past their security checkpoint into a recombobulation area.

The sign is the brainchild of airport director Barry Bateman, who thought it would be a fun way to take the stress out of travel. I've got to hand it to him, it really is one of the first bits of humor I've seen added to the checkpoint area.

Being able to have a chuckle and a place to sit down and unwind after having your bottle of water confiscated in the name of national security is a great idea. Many airports have added seats after the TSA checkpoint, but I'm usually doing everything I can to get away from that area as soon as I can.

This is how to land a plane in an emergency!

Here is some footage of an absolutely brilliantly performed crash emergency landing. I'm by no means an expert, nor have I ever received training on how to land a plane in an emergency, but it is pretty clear from the video clip that someone was paying attention at pilot training.

The pilot was flying his Cessna 310 this afternoon when he contacted the tower reporting some issues with his nose gear. It took him over an hour of circling Van Nuys to burn up the 80 gallons of fuel he did not want to land with.

You'll notice how the pilot kills the engines before touchdown, keeps his nose up as long as he can, and lands the plane as smooth as possible.

As soon as the plane came to a halt, both passengers opened their doors and walked away. Kudos to the pilot!
